Medical Staff
Dr. Albritton is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist. He has been in practice since 1989. Dr. Albritton is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Medicine, Orlando Regional Medical Center Ob/Gyn program.
He is a member of numerous medical societies, and continues to be active in educational endeavors.
Socorro Valentin is a certified coloposcopist nurse practitioner since 1996. She is a registered Advanced Practice Nurse in the state of Florida and is certified as a Women's Health Care, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurse. Soccorro is certified from the NAACOG Certification Corporation as an OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner.
Socorro Valentin emphasizes educating women with valuable information to help them lead healthier lives, and when appropriate, their sexual partners and families, concerning self-care health measures. Socorro obtains a comprehensive health history, i.e. assessment of lifestyle, environmental issues, coping strategies, support systems, nutrition, exercise, sense of control, stress management, relationship issues and personal goals, in addition to the review of systems and post-medical history. She performs physical examinations including a gynecological examination with assessment of normal and abnormal findings; initiates and manages the client's chosen contraceptive method within established parameters, providing them with information on risks and benefits. Socorro performs colposcopic cervical, vaginal and vulvar examinations and biopsies on OB/GYN patients, performs cryosurgery of the cervix on uncomplicated cervical conditions as ordered by the supervising physician; orders and evaluates appropriate laboratory tests and refers clients to medical and other therapeutic resources when indicated. Socorro works closely with Dr. Albritton for complicated problems and surgical needs.
Socorro participates in continuing education and is bilingual, fluent in Spanish.
